President Lee (in the pink tie) is the Seoul Mission President. He met the missionaries in 1971 on the bus. He was shocked they could speak English. They asked him if he would like to learn more about Jesus Christ. He said yes, and so did his wife. They joined the church two months later, then went to Minnesota for graduate school where he got his PHD. 10 years later he read the Book of Mormon and got a testimony of it's truthfulness. And his bishop asked him to teach the Gospel Principles class. Three months later he became a member of the bishopric. He recently served for 9 1/2 years as the SuWon Stake President. In 1971 there were 6 members of the church. Now there is a stake there. He began serving as the Mission President in July of 2009. We had a wonderful evening with delicious food and singing at their home Monday night. He and his wife have a son and a daughter and 7 grandchildren.
