Latter-Day Step Stool

We spoke in church today.
Our topic was Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. We were tall enough so we didn't have to use the step stool provided.
(Looks like something I would enjoy making) A good quote from Elder Dallin H. Oaks: "How can we have the Spirit of the Lord to guide our choices so that we will remain "unspotted from the world" (D&C59:9) and on the safe path through mortality? We need to qualify for the cleansing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We do this by keeping His commandment to come to Him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit and in that wonderful weekly meeting partake of the emblems of the sacrament and make the covenants that qualify us for the promise that we will always have His Spirit to be with us (see D&C20:77)"
I focused my talk on the blessings that come from our keeping Sunday sacred. In D&C59:16-19 it promises us the fulness of the earth is ours, and then goes on to delineate what that entails--"the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air and that which climbeth upon the trees and walketh upon the earth; Yea, and the herb, and the good things which come of the earth, whether for food or for raiment, or for houses, or for barns, or for orchards, or for gardens, or for vineyards; Yea, all things which come of the earth, in the season thereof, are made for the benefit and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart; Yea, for food and for raiment, for taste and for smell, to strengthen the body and to enliven the soul."
When we keep the Sabbath Day holy we are promised the fulness of the earth! That is everything. (future home of the Celestial kingdom).
