WHY DO WE HAVE 5 GARBAGE CANS IN OUR KITCHEN?

The ALTOIDS tin and Canada Dry Ginger Ale are my only contributions.

Koreans are way ahead of most of the world when it comes recycling. We have 5 different garbage cans in our kitchen because recycling is mandatory. We have one for plastic, one for cardboard, one for compostables, one for metal and one for real trash. Then outside there are bins for the above plus one for lightbulbs, one for styrofoam, one for clothing, one for hard plastic and one for soft plastic, and one for hangers, and some others I've haven't figured out yet.
Korea is lightyears ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to being wired. There are NO dead spots for cellphones. Even underground on the subway, people are talking on the phone, or watching television--in color on tiny TVs with tiny antennaes. It's a new world for us in more ways than one!

I'm very impressed! We have one recycling bin... looks like we need to work on that.

When we were in Nantucket we had to take and sort our garbage much like that, but they would made you sort it down to the type of plastic (the little number on the bottom in the triangle.) The rest of America should take some cues.

PS Do you try to speak Tongan when the Koreans don't understand you, dad?

It's Tongan that comes to my tongue when I don't have a word in Korean!
Why is that??
