Naked Ladies behind the Hydrangea

The six-petaled flowers are called Naked Ladies. They
are bulbs planted behind the hydrangea bush. The reason
they're called Naked Ladies is because in the Spring they
send up a bunch of leaves and then the leaves die. Then in
August up come the flowers with no leaves--they're naked!
