A Small Frank Lloyd Wright House
Now a part of the National Trust For Historic Preservation.
This home was slated for demolition to make room for a freeway. The owner sold it to the state and then used the funds to help have it moved to it's current location (3 miles from Mt. Vernon). Unfortunately they built it on marine clay and it started to slide, cracking the foundation. They spent $730,000 to move it 40 yards.
There are 29 historic sights throughout the United States that are a part of the National Trust For Historic Preservation.
