DEOK DESIGN DIVERTED

We found this hand-carved wooden mold. It is traditionally used to press designs into deok , the gelatinous rice cakes that are similar to really dense dumplings. It is an incredibly popular food here in Korea. BUT WE DON'T DO DEOK!
WE DO COOKIES!So I decided to used the mold to press a design into the ginger sesame cookie dough.
The granulated sugar highlighted the flower design.
YOU WANT ONE, DON'T YOU!

Thanks for the tip on the Hydrangeas! I have the perfect spot for them. One more question...Our soil has a lot of clasy in it, other than a good top soil is there anything else that will help?
By the way your cookies look delicious :)
