I've spent the better part of this week cutting down Ailanthus
Trees, aka tree of heaven, aka Taco Trees (their crushed leaves
smell like Taco Bell tacos. All the better to see the fireworks
my pretty!

You really do have your own little piece of heaven up on that hill, don't you? Can't wait to watch the show from the best seats in town...now...if we can just find a vehicle to get there in.
We do, but I have to keep reclaiming it from the taco trees,
the Chinese Elms, and other encroaching flora. I think I cut down over 100 suckers some as around as salad plates.
I wish we had an overgrowth problem--I'm just hoping our pumpkin plants survive the heat to October.
